In 2015/2016, a reorganization of the Department of Pathology was carried out on behalf of the in collaboration with the SES (Senior Expert Service). Founded 20 years ago, the department had been vacant for about 6 years and preparations had to be sent to New Zealand for diagnosis. In 2015 and 2016, attempts were made to familiarize a specialist in internal medicine with pathological anatomical diagnostics and to support them via telepathology. The project was interrupted in 2016, as the further training of the specialist staff could not be continuously managed. A doctoral thesis could be completed in the meantime. We hope that further cooperation can be resumed in the future.
