In 2002, at the Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope (Hospital of an American NGO), a pathological anatomical Lobow was established by G. St from donations of German pathologists and private individuals. Dr Chhut Serey Vathana, has been briefed as head of the lab and supported by IPATH in routine diagnostics in more than 7600 cases. Due to the growing need, in 2009 a private institute in Phnom Penh (PIP) was founded by Dr Vathana with international participation , Since 2012, more than 250 cases have been conducted with international experts from Europe and the US in weekly interdisciplinary conferences of the Surgical Friends of Cambodia 2015. In 2015, via Ipath weekly case seminars for 5 postgraduates under the direction of Dr N. H were conducted for 2018 invited three scholarship holders for pathology to three-month study visits to Germany.
